Professional midwifery education in Nepal commenced in 2016, offering both post-registration and direct-entry enrollment options. It has been acknowledged that advocacy, continuous professional development (CPD), and motivational counseling are essential in enriching students’ academic journeys. These initiatives also bolster their confidence in pursuing midwifery as a vital profession committed to serving women and newborns across the spectrum of sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, adolescent, and child health (SRMNACH) throughout the life cycle.
A total of 84 participants attended the program, including graduate midwives, educators, and second-year midwifery students from the Bachelor of Midwifery programs at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), Maharajgunj Nursing Campus, Paropakar Nursing Campus (PNC), and Kathmandu University (KU).
