MIDSON supported the Nursing and Social Security Division (NSSD) to organize a 14-day Midwifery Educator’s Training from July 11 to 24, 2024.
The opening and closing session were chaired by Director of Nursing and social security Division Ms. Hira Kumari Niroula along with participation from Chair of Nepal Nursing Council, academia representatives and representatives of CTEVT and UNFPA.
Altogether 15 midwifery faculty members and clinical preceptors attended and completed the training program. Twenty-seven sessions on knowledge update and practical sessions for the skill update on 6 core areas (Physiological birth, Newborn Resuscitation, Condom Tamponade, Shoulder Dystocia, Breech Birth, Vacuum assisted birth) were delivered in 14 days of activities following a manual for midwifery educators training.
