Development of Curriculum
Midwifery Society of Nepal (MIDSON) with the financial and technical support of UNFPA had organized a Desk Review Workshop to identify the gaps in existing midwifery curriculum with global standards ofCM. The workshop was organized for three days from 19th -21st September, 2011 (Aswin2-4, 2068 B.S ) at Nursing Campus , Maharahgunj, Kathmandu.
The main objective was to identify the gaps in existing midwifery curricula of ANM, PCL, BN and B.Sc. in line withICM Global Standards of Midwifery Education.
The participants in the workshop were representation from Nepal Nursing Council, Nursing Association of Nepal, Nursing campus, Maharajgunj, CTEVT, Patan Academy of health sciences, Maternity Hospital MOHP, UNICEF and regional representation from Pokhara. The workshop was facilitated by technical specialist in Midwifery from UNFPA.
